If you need to make complex welds, even in the assembly line, the ideal method is projection welding: a particular type of resistance welding that always ensures the correct thermal balance. At Minifaber we have the necessary skills and all the machinery to perform projection welding.

Projection welding is a type of resistance welding that uses projections – precisely - to ensure the current concentrates and the welding force focuses on a small area. Thanks to this mechanism, the thermal balance necessary for a flawless weld is always maintained, even in the most difficult conditions.

There are thus two types of energy involved: thermal, generated by the current flowing through the electrodes, and mechanical, because the electrodes are pressed against each other. The heat melts the parts to be welded, the pressure unites them, and once the area has cooled, the two metals are perfectly joined.

When to choose projection welding?

Projection welding is ideal in all cases involving complex welds: the flat surface of the projection, accurately adapting to the metal profile, simplifies the process.

It is also indicated for mass welding, because it reduces time and costs; for this reason, it is widely used in large assembly lines, where articulated welds are carried out at high rates.

The advantages of projection welding are therefore:

  • Quality – because the result is perfect even when welding is more difficult
  • Economic – because it optimises time and cost
  • Feasibility – because projection welding can be applied to different types of metals, even with different thickness.

Why choose projection welding with Minifaber?

First of all, to ensure a quality result: you can rely on the skills of the entire Minifaber team, from designers to technicians, from project managers to customer care. The machine fleet is up-to-date and technologically advanced, ample enough to guarantee rapid production and absolute compliance with the terms of delivery of the product.

You are assured of flexible service:

  • We carry out projection welding both on small batches of product and on large quantities, always with the same attention and precision;
  • You can request that your production be staggered at different times, without any constraints on our part;
  • Finally, with the projection welding we produce both semi-finished and finished products, complex and already assembled.
