We perform sheet metal welding using advanced technologies: laser, TIG and MIG welding, resistance welding, projection welding, and robotic welding.

Metal welding

We weld all metals: MIG/MAG welding, TIG welding, resistance welding, projection welding, robotic MIG/MAG and TIG welding, and laser welding.

The metal welding process in Minifaber

Metal welding is one of the main processes in the mechanical engineering and metalworking industries.
Welding is used to permanently join two or more metal elements by melting the edges of the metal parts in contact. The result is strong, durable joints that retain all the mechanical and functional characteristics of the metals used.

There are many welding techniques that differ mainly in terms of the source. The source is the means of generating the energy that is transformed into the heat required for welding.

  • TIG welding: maximum precision and finish
  • MIG/MAG welding: ideal for high-volume automated production
  • Resistance and projection welding: used for quick and repeatable joints
  • Laser welding: recognized for its precision and minimal heat input.

Welding can be manual or robotic. At Minifaber, robotic welding is highly developed.
The most suitable welding process is chosen according to the material to be welded, its thickness, the geometric shape of the piece, and its functionality.

Minifaber fabricates with sheet metal by means of stamping, laser cutting and bending. Starting from the raw material, we obtain the simple components with the desired parts and details through multiple fabrication steps and machinery. These parts can be joined by welding to form complex components.
The expertise gained over the years and an up-to-date, multi-purpose fleet of machines means we can perform metal welding according to your specific needs.
In fact, Minifaber gives you the opportunity to enjoy the advantages of the most efficient sheet metal welding technologies (laser, MIG/MAG, TIG, resistance, projection, robotic and manual), and obtain perfect welds on sheets of different materials (ferrous materials, stainless steel, aluminum, copper, etc.).

Sheet metal welding: the metals we work with

We can apply the aforementioned processes to a wide range of different metals to obtain semi-finished or finished products.

  • Using these processes, we perform sheet metal welding on ferrous materials, aluminum, stainless steel, and copper.
  • Ferrous material welding:  Ferrous materials—such as iron, low-carbon steel, and some alloy steels—have good weldability because the carbon and other element content is low or very controlled. In this case, all major welding techniques can be used: MIG/MAG, TIG, Resistance Welding, and Laser Welding.
  • Aluminum welding: Aluminum and its alloys are characterized by high thermal conductivity and form stable oxides on the surface, which can interfere with the molten pool. MIG, TIG, and laser welding are recommended.
  • Copper welding: Aluminum and its alloys are characterized by high thermal conductivity and form stable oxides on the surface, which can interfere with the molten pool. MIG, TIG, and laser welding are recommended.
  • Stainless steel welding:
